If I follow your logic, the burden of guilt and responsibility falls solely on the victim and that can't be acceptable in a civilised society.These people achieve a great deal when given the chance, as a matter of fact an important proportion of Doctors, Engineers, professors are from these minorities but sadly in France you have to work twice as hard if you are member of a minority group or born in these ghettos.

No I think it's you who is missing the point, this has nothing to do with love or being liked.This has to do with 'rights" These are 3rd and even 4th generation French and they have the right to be treated equally as everyone else.Their grandparents died fighting for france against the Nazis and they don't see why they should be treated differently.Maybe in the USA there is a history of tolerated discrimination but France has consititutional republican secular values to uphold.

The world is not going to love you, you have to just get up out of the shit and work to become successfull and then they have no choice but to serve you if they want to earn a living. Yes ... We should be making people accountable for what they do but sadly in France some are more accountable than others, when a kid behaves in an unsociable manner he receives a harsh punishment but when employers openly discriminate against one section of society we turn a blind eye.In America you have introduced positive descrimination to lift the poorest out of poverty and it worked well for you ..... in France all these people are asking for is "equal treatment"
